long weekend sprinkled with plenty of love and laughters

friday - 10th apr 09 .

HAPPY SNEEZING DAY !

i started sneezing ...
with an extremely heavy bag hung on my left shoulder causing me tilt so much when i walk ,
i took the train all the way down to PS
& boyf came to fetch me .
i am still sneezing ...
we went expo after picking up boyf's parents .
our main motive there is to
get me-self a couple of nice comfy pillows on boyf's bed .
while sneezing ...
we entered the big crowded dusty hall ,
and made a U-TURN out because i want a cuppa ice milo .
=D~
sneezing gets better ...
but the queue was HORRIBLE VEGETABLE LONG !
so we came to a conclusion , we shall get chia ya wei pillows else where .

on the way back home ,
i started sneezing again ...
boyf's mom: "又来了, 又来了"

friday - 3rd apr 09 .
a day with the precious, darling & darling's baby...

darling & me
we feel so old...

when we walked along the streets of orchard .
for once , i took detailed look of orchard , time flies .

YEARS BACK... when we were still teenagers

- we had the kim-est hair color on the lian-est hairstyle , the thickest eyeliner blended with the brightest eye-shadow to go with our longest eyelashes .
- we woke up at 2pm and met at 3 pm , we went from ceni to heeren , far east to wisma , taka to PS .
- we walked hand in hand , we'd talked about anything , everything , we'd laughed at things which are not that funny now , we'd admired the prints we took , we'd looked at guys down the road , we always meet people whom we knew .
- we grew into what we are today , we never forget the days we spent .

NOW...

- we changed , yet , we are still the same .
- we put on the lightest make-ups that match with our working clothes .
- we have never ending topics to discuss about , we always feel the same towards certain issues , we share and accept views from each other .
- we still laugh at things we find it funny , just not that much .
- we still walked hand in hand down the road , we get tired and find ourselves a place to seat , that's all .
- we peeked at the same thing without telling each other , we exchange glances to convey message without talking to each other .

me: "yeah , not long ago it was still a carpark where all the birds gathered to shit on cars every evening."

we ended up at The Cathay's starbucks and waited for my ah boy & her ah lao .

her ah lao went basement for his late dinner . initially , the wedges he ordered was supposed to be shared amongst the 3 of us while waiting for my ah boy , but moments later ... his ah lao said , "tell dusk we bought the wedges for him leh ."

we watched the Confessions of Shopaholic .
the story line was different from its book , but i enjoyed both the book and movie as much .
the thing i like best from the movie , THEIR CLOTHES WERE FANNNNNNNTASTIC .
the whole screening did not go well due to technical problems and we were refunded a pair of tickets for each ticket we bought that night .
since boyf enjoys watching shows at The Cathay , worth it .

monday - 6th apr 09 .

work ...

has been very tiring , but still i enjoyed working there .
i love the interactions i have with people . all sorts of people .
people with nasty attitudes , grumpy manners ,
people with pleasant attitude , good patience , lovely manners ,
but i especially love the one who always make an effort to turn around and tell me "oh, by the way, do you know you look nicer in this suit?"

i get the chance to design a promotional brochure for my secretarial services .
i received pretty good comments out of it .
i am happy with myself .
:)

i return all appreciations with my next better performance ,
i treat every compliment as a room for improvement .

then again...
it never fail to make me smile whenever i peeked into my drawer and received messages with concern & encouragements .
and it is so nice to see people whom i love in the middle of a dreadful day of work .
i always get excited since morning when i know i am going to lunch with precious or darling .

a little synopsis of an interesting incident...

the guys were playing basketball , adrain brought the ball .
the girls were sitting by the bench .
and suddenly ...

girl A: eh! y are they playing volleyball?
girl B: eeee, where did the ball come from?
*confusion*
girl C: look at their faces can...
(the guys were wearing some kind of cheeking grin across their faces when they were playing wit volleyball)
girl C: their face betrayed them, i think they stole it from somewhere...

but kind aaron made an effort to return the ball after the games .

everyone was nicely roasted after games of basketball and volleyball, filling lunch (sushi, sandwhiches, beehoon, birthday cake for aaron & beer), a nice swim, then panicking seeking and dashing across shelters under the rain and nice hot coffee at starbucks after being stuck in the heavy rain (except for ah siao boyf who drank ICEBLENDED caramel) .
the day ended wit dinner at maxwell .

- how can you know someone you've never met? a story bout this lady getting into a terrible accident, gotten a blood transfusion, after she leaves the hospital, strong sense déjà vu of starts overwhelming her, a connection between her and the blood donar .

hope this book will company me thru my lonely week of next .

i was quite amazed that, boyf's friends, a married couple, 24, wife pregnant wit 2nd baby .
i would say it's quite a commitment .
some couples tend to forget how much a baby changes their life or how much time is required to be devoted .
your life will then revolves around your baby and issues in life turn challenging .
especially for unprepared couples . difficult time in keeping up wit baby & job at the same time . financial and emotional struggle .
so i guess a wiser way is to judge and work on the level of success in marriage first before stepping into any new commencement .

I was at a bookstore yesterday & I came across this pretty interesting book 'BETTER SINGLE THAN SORRY'
wit a pretty interesting line 'No Regrets Guide in Loving Yourself and Never Settling' .
this book tells people, it is never that bad to be single than to having a relationship that is not right anymore .
my favourite line:
DON'T fear and never go for anything less than what you deserves of .
i think it applies in any way .

then, twice, I came across this,
once on CLEO, happiness is not about chasing fleeting moments of joy but rather how to create the most meaningful life for yourself
once from a book, it says something like,
happiness is something u make out of , not by finding . and doing things that gives u contentment paves u the route of happiness .

very subjective lines . but maybe, maybe, life is not that bad after all, all that is needed is for us to add in a little spice, not all can comprehend but it is never a price too high to pay to explore a little further .

firstly . updates of bits .

friday - 20th feb 09 .

in the day, as usual, unfruitful job interviews .
dinner wit boyf & kin .
new addiction the founder's bak kut teh @ balestier, heavenly tasty !
after dinner, boyf wants more food ! boyf wants tau huay !
apparently kin & i were bloated, in fact, im swollen up, so the both of us only had tau huay zhui .
then, to the usual pub 'talk cock sing song' @ thomson's .
this time round, kin did not request to sing 一眼瞬间 cos he's afraid that the waitresses there will deem himself & me as 那两个'一眼瞬间'的人来了 o.O
the day ended wit a self-claimed drunk man started shouting and screeching along wit the songs at the backseat, and decidedly, Ms & Mr Awake went along wit him ..........

saturday - 21st feb 09 .
accompanied boyf for swim @ yis stadium, i was too tired for a swim, so he swam while i have my pack of super ring & bottle of green tea . hee hee .

went thomson's again, this time, for MA LA STEAMBOAT .
for the first time after multiple visits, i finally take note of the price .
it's $18.90++ per head . quite value for money, but definitely not recommendable for jiayu . =X
each couples had 3 cans of drinks on average but coupling up wit boyf gives us a total of 6 cans (i only had 1 can) -.-
over all, filling dinner, nice chat . :)
